Program offered at our Oakland, Hayward, and San Pablo locations
Esthetics is the study and practice of skincare services that help clients care for their skin and feel confident in their appearance. If you enjoy working one-on-one with people and are interested in skin care, products, and treatments, esthetics may be a path worth exploring.
Moler’s 600-hour Esthetics program includes classroom instruction, hands-on training, and supervised clinic experience in areas such as facials, hair removal, makeup application, lash and brow beautification, sanitation, and California laws and regulations.
The program is designed to help eligible graduates prepare for the California esthetician licensure exam. Completion of the program does not guarantee licensure. Graduates must meet all requirements set by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
The best way to decide whether Moler is the right fit is to visit. Schedule a tour to see the training spaces, ask questions, and talk with our team about your goals.
The Esthetics program includes 600 clock hours of theory and practical application. Students receive instruction in skincare, facials, hair removal, makeup application, sanitation, and California laws and regulations.
The California skin care curriculum includes technical and practical instruction in health and safety, disinfection and sanitation, skin care, and hair removal and lash/brow beautification. Students also have access to exam preparation resources, including Milady CIMA, to support their study and review.
Moler has served the Bay Area for more than a century, helping students pursue training in barbering, cosmetology, and esthetics. Today, students can train at campus locations in Oakland, Hayward, and San Pablo while learning in person from licensed instructors.
For students comparing esthetics schools, a campus visit can make the decision feel more real. It gives you a chance to see the learning environment, talk through your goals, and understand how Moler can support you from your first day through program completion.
Esthetics is something you learn by doing. At Moler, students can move from classroom instruction into supervised clinic practice, where they apply what they’ve learned in a real training environment.
Under instructor supervision, students may practice services on mannequins and live clients. That experience helps students build confidence with client communication, service timing, sanitation, and the hands-on skills used in esthetics.
The program is 600 clock hours. Students may complete the program in as little as 4 to 7 months depending on schedule, attendance, and progress. Actual completion time varies.
No prior esthetics or skincare experience is required. The program is designed for students new to esthetics. You’ll start with foundational theory, health, safety, sanitation, and skin care basics before progressing to hands-on practice and supervised clinic services.
