A Cut Above the Rest

Moler Barber & Cosmetology Colleges has served the Bay Area for more than 100 years. What began as a barbering school has grown into a multi-campus institution offering training in barbering, cosmetology, and esthetics.

Today, Moler continues to focus on hands-on education, professional preparation, and community connection. Students can learn in person at our Oakland, Hayward, and San Pablo locations while building the technical skills, confidence, and habits needed to prepare for licensure and entry-level opportunities in the beauty and grooming industries.

Mission Statement

To empower individuals through top-tier beauty education, fostering sustainable careers and lasting impact in the communities we serve.

The Advantages of an Education at Moler College

Experienced Instructors

At Moler, students learn from licensed instructors who bring professional experience into the classroom and clinic setting. Instructors help students understand techniques, safety practices, client communication, and the day-to-day expectations of working in the beauty and grooming industries.

Hands-On Experience

Beauty and barbering are hands-on fields. That is why Moler’s programs combine classroom instruction with practical training and supervised clinic experience. Students can practice skills in a structured environment as they prepare for California licensure requirements.

Accredited Beauty School

Moler Barber College is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. The school is also approved to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, and its programs are approved by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Digital Learning Support

Students have access to CIMA, Moler’s digital learning hub. CIMA gives students access to program materials, instructional videos, study guides, academic support tools, and career-oriented resources that can support their learning throughout the program.

Career Services

Moler provides career-related support to help students prepare for life after school. Career services may include résumé development, interview preparation, professional presentation, personal branding, job search strategies, and guidance on building an independent clientele.

Employment is not guaranteed. Outcomes depend on individual performance, licensure, location, employer needs, and job search effort.

Give Back

Moler is proud to be part of the Bay Area community. Through student clinic services, campus activities, and community-focused efforts, students have opportunities to connect their training with the people and neighborhoods Moler serves. We host annual backpack drives for elementary school students, coordinate children’s gift donations, and participate in community events.

Student Testimonials

What Our Students Are Saying

Real students. Real results.

★★★★★

The definition of hidden talent. Great students and teachers. They have beauty school salon prices. They do braids here as well. Very impressed with the service I received.

★★★★★

Nothing but a great experience here. You’re not a Guinea pig when you sit in that chair - you’re a client; albeit one of your barbers first. These barbers have a great vibe at this location and nothing beats the $10 price… although I suggest to plan to say thank you for your great cut with a $10 tip on top of it. Huge shout out to Hunter who gave me an awesome haircut!

★★★★★

I'm always satisfied with the haircuts I get here. The student barbers are extremely detail-oriented and reliable.
